A fifteen-minute ambulance or boat ride instead of an hour and a half through checkpoints. A mother reaching a real delivery room; an elder cared for without needing a pass. Twenty beds, an operating theatre, OB/GYN, dental, eye, a lab and a pharmacy — the beating heart of the city.

Veranda classrooms around an open courtyard — the form the Karen community already knows, built properly on safe ground. Six classrooms, early-childhood rooms, a library and a science room, with a covered assembly pavilion in the middle where the whole school gathers.

Built around the Word and song — a sanctuary of about 250 seats with a baptistry, a choir and music space, a fellowship hall, and Sabbath School rooms. Its doors open wide from the courtyard: a place to come and encounter God, never forced, always welcome.

The old and the new, side by side. An open-air fresh market for fruit, vegetables, fish and meat, beside an enclosed shop with grocery aisles and a cold room — plus lease units so local sellers get a real storefront. This is livelihoods and income, not just somewhere to shop.

A school children can come to from across the border region — and stay. Classrooms, science and computer labs, a library, with boys' and girls' boarding dormitories, a dining hall and an assembly ground between. A springboard to the world. Two storeys would teach twice as many, built the safe way.

The quiet system that makes everything else possible — and it serves both communities. Solar power with battery storage and a backup generator; boreholes, treatment and an elevated tower that sends clean water downhill by gravity to every tap. Let there be light.

Where a city becomes “my home.” Two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and bath, a veranda for the cool of the evening, a kitchen garden and a rainwater tank of the family's own. Built for assisted self-build in clusters, so families help raise their own homes and the cost stays low. (Per home — a cluster of 100 homes is roughly $1.0M, phased.)
